Four of us booked five fishing charters with CR Fishing Charters, and they absolutely came through in spades. From start to finish, everything was first-class.
All of the boats were clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped with quality rods and tackle. Drinks and food were provided, which made long days on the water comfortable and enjoyable. The captains were professional, highly experienced, and knew exactly where to put us on fish.
The deckhands were outstanding—hard-working, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. They catered to anything we wanted and worked nonstop to make sure every angler had the best possible experience.
A special shout-out to Adolfo at CR Fishing Charters, who truly delivered the goods. Boats left on time (and sometimes even early), logistics were seamless, and the fishing was phenomenal. Over the course of our trips, we landed marlin, tuna, sailfish, roosterfish, sea bass, jacks, snapper, and several other species.
The entire experience exceeded our expectations and truly was a trip of a lifetime. If you’re looking for a professional, reliable, and top-tier fishing operation in Costa Rica, look no further than CR Fishing Charters. Highly recommended — 5 stars all the way.

Fish Hunter is a fishing charter that is the most popular in the region. It provides you with all you require in a wonderful vacation. The boat is also spacious enough to accommodate four people comfortably with ample space to move around and fish. It is powered by a Cummins in-board 210 horsepower that provides a smooth and efficient ride so that you can concentrate on fishing.
One of the most important characteristics of Fish Hunter is the long T -Top and rain guard at the front that provides ample shade and protection. The center console allows you to access everything it requires: a Horizon GPS, a Garmin fish finder, a VHF radio, outriggers/downriggers, and a live bait well. This renders it easy to locate good positions and snare large fish.
The boat has the best Penn, Accurate and Fin Noir reels, hence you have the best equipment to hook many fish in these waters. We also have a portable toilet.
The charter is located in Herradura bay which is adjacent to the Los Suenos marina, hence easy access to the best fishing spots. Some of the fish that you can catch include marlin, sail fish, tuna, mahi-mahi among others.
