We had a good trip. Rough water but still caught fish.
We fished with Captain Luis and crew on the Kinny twice during our stay in Costa Rica. Luis put us on fish, including a Rooster in the first 20 minutes! The highlight of both trips was a feeding frenzy of Jack Crevalles at the end of our second trip, where my two sons and I caught fish for 45 minutes straight! Amazing! Luis and his mate were good people, as are all of the people we met while staying in Costa Rica, answering all of our tourist and fishing questions with a smile. Four stars instead of five because they need to upgrade some of their fishing rods, but overall a great experience!
My wife and I took a 3/4 day fishing trip. Luis was a great captain and put us on several rooster fish and mackerel within minutes of getting bait in the water. Not much luck trolling mid morning so we went back to catching rooster fish. A great day and highly recommend.
Ronnie, Jose, and Kevin did a fantastic job. We had a cooler full of snacks, food, beers, and drinks. They worked 13 lines as best as you could for the full day. The weather was great and I learned a lot about fishing a spread. We caught fish for dinner and got to see a lot. Several mahi and wahoo hook ups and even had a black marlin come right up to the dredge. Saw humpback whales on our ride out. For the price, we have no complaints and would fish with that crew on the 32 Jersey custom again.
