Ronnie, Jose, and Kevin did a fantastic job. We had a cooler full of snacks, food, beers, and drinks. They worked 13 lines as best as you could for the full day. The weather was great and I learned a lot about fishing a spread. We caught fish for dinner and got to see a lot. Several mahi and wahoo hook ups and even had a black marlin come right up to the dredge. Saw humpback whales on our ride out. For the price, we have no complaints and would fish with that crew on the 32 Jersey custom again.

If we could give more than 5 stars to CR Fishing Charters we would. Please read full review. We fished Costa Rica with another group last year and had good experience but nothing like this time.

Started with contacting Jon at CR Fishing Charters as we were ‘shopping’ for a boat to charter. He replied quickly and offered many options. Found perfect boat for 3/4 day. When we landed in CR and followed up with CR, Jon was out of town and his brother Arturo replied immediately. He took over our transaction, not only professionally but friendly. Got us even more excited about our adventure. He connected us with a driver so we could meet the boat. In the shuttle we met Galo, another brother in charge of marketing but also looked like quality control. Making sure great boats and top notch captains are what you’re getting. We did 3/4 day boat… Captain Luis and Alex worked continuously to “hook” us up with a variety of fish. They did not spare fuel but instead went to where the fishing was best! We pulled in about 10 fish in one day. Our favorite was the huge 37” inch, about 18-20 lbs. SEA BASS - unusual for this area. A huge Jack Coreal, a big Pacific Mackerel, a beautiful Spanish Mackerel and lots of big fun bait fish to lure the above in.

This awesome experience will go on for days and it started with some FRESH white sea bass ceviche today for lunch.
